About Öresundsklassrummet

The Öresund Region aims to be the most attractive and climate-smart region in Europe. It is important that all citizens in the region are able to participate in creating a sustainable future. The regional hub Öresundsklassrummet is working with cross-border and interdisciplinary collaborations on sustainable development in schools and other learning environments in the Öresund Region. Initially the aim was to establish a strong regional hub that will strengthen initiatives in the field of Education for Sustainable Development. This is now fullfilled and our parthership is supported by the Copenhagen-Malmö 2025 strategy.

The activities within Öresundsklassrummet range from training and workshops for head teachers, officials and politicians, to study trips for teachers and educators and a climate ambassador training program for school pupils.

Öresundsklassrummet was initiated in 2010 and was in the beginning a partnership with the City of Malmö, Malmö University, City of Copenhagen, City of Lund and Lund East and Lund University. The project was partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg IVA Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak program.
